Code of Conduct
Updated over a week ago

We show this code of conduct to all people professionally connected to Pilot. We created it because we would like to always remember the values we believe in, not because we anticipate bad behaviour.

Friendly space

This code of conduct applies to our professional lives: all tools, events, and places administered by Pilot. Including but not limited to Slack communication (all channels and private messages), Pilot websites, blogs, newsletters, emails, social media channels (including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc) and the Pilot office.

We aspire to be a company which creates friendly space for everyone regardless of race, colour, national origin, nationality, religion, age, ability (physical or mental), sex, sexual orientation, gender and gender identity, marital status, socioeconomic status or background, body size.

We want to support and encourage all of you to help each other, to learn from each other, to trust each other. We believe that together we can build a friendly and safe workplace. It’s one of the most important things to provide peace of mind and a good atmosphere.

Untolerated behaviour

We won’t tolerate harassment of community members in any form: verbal or written offensive comments related to the protected classes above, sexual language and imagery, deliberate intimidation, stalking, photography or audio/video recording against reasonable consent, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention, sexist or racist comments.

Harassment does not need to be recognized as unwanted or unwelcome by anyone other than the person being harassed.

Spam-free

Our Slack community is a space where you can connect with other developers from around the world, share exciting news/ideas, have great conversations and more.

Please don’t use the space to post job offers, recruit other members to your company or do an overly pushing promotion of your products. All of those kinds of posts will be in direct violations of this code of conduct.

Reporting

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or you would like to share any other concerns or observations, please contact Ola from HR team (a.chalfen@pilot.co). Only you and Ola will have access to this information. Only after deciding on the next steps together, other parties may be involved.

We will react to all information from you. We ask all of you to take care of each other. It’s one of the most important things for us – to respect each other and our values.

You need to know that all people professionally connected with Pilot violating these code of conduct may be sanctioned or removed from community spaces.

In creating this code of conduct we were inspired by a document prepared by Clef.
