Can I get paid through Payoneer?

Updated over a week ago

Adding your payment details is an essential step in setting up your Plane account. You may need to contact your bank to confirm the information you'll need to receive your payments.

First, log into your account and go to the Bank accounts tab.

For your registered bank account to be validated, you must fill in the following information:

  1. Account currency
Here you can select the currency type that applies to your bank account. We recommend that you choose to receive payments in your local currency, if that option is available to you, to help minimize any fees that may be deducted by your bank. Banks may charge fees when you're receiving payments as an international transfer, so using local (domestic) transfers in local currencies can help reduce fees, which means you can get paid more.

  2. Beneficiary name
The name of the person receiving the funds, you in this case.

  3. Beneficiary address
    Your address.

  4. Bank country
In general, bank accounts must be located in the country where their settlement currency is based. (e.g., BRL bank accounts must be based in Brazil)

Depending on the country you select, you are required to fill in some of the following information:

  1. Bank name
The name of your bank. We use it to check if the SWIFT number matches the bank.

  2. SWIFT / BIC
A SWIFT code is an international bank code that identifies particular banks worldwide. You can usually find your bank's SWIFT/BIC code in your bank account statements. You can also find your SWIFT/BIC code using the finder on this page.

  3. IBAN
An International Bank Account Number – or IBAN – is used worldwide to identify individual accounts. IBANs make it easier to process international payments. You will generally be able to find it on your banking app or via online banking – but the precise location of this will differ from bank to bank. It should also appear on any paper statements you receive.

  4. Routing number
Your bank routing number is a nine-digit code that's based on the U.S. Bank location where your account was opened. Account and routing numbers work together to identify your account and ensure that your money ends up in the right place.

  5. Account number
Your account number (usually 10-12 digits) is specific to your personal account. Account and routing numbers work together to identify your account and ensure that your money ends up in the right place.

  6. Bank Code
A bank code is the numerical code assigned to a specific bank in order to identify it during financial transactions such as bank transfers.

Can I get paid through Payoneer or Paypal?

Yes, you can get paid through Payoneer—in fact, we have many users who receive payments this way. When you log in to Payoneer, go to Get paid and select Receiving accounts. It should give you an account number and routing number for your USD balance in Payoneer. You can then add it as a bank account in Plane.

We currently don’t support payments to PayPal, but you could try Wise (formerly TransferWise Borderless) if Payoneer is not an option. Both will allow you to keep a balance in USD, which you can then convert to another currency and withdraw to your bank account.
