You can adjust the compensation for a contractor and edit their contract to include this change.

Edit a contractor's compensation

Keep in mind that if the contractor has a scheduled payment, the change in their compensation might not automatically reflect it.

To change the compensation for a contractor:

  1. In the People tab, click the name of the affected contractor.

  2. On the contractor’s details page, click 'Edit' in the upper right-hand corner.

  3. In the Compensation section, select the Wage type and enter the new Amount of compensation. Be sure to select the correct currency.

  4. Click the ‘Update’ button at the bottom of the page.

To edit the contractor’s contract to reflect their new compensation:

  1. Go to the People tab and click the arrow to the right of the affected contractor.

  2. A notification will appear at the top recommending a new contract. To update the contract, click on ‘Update contract,’ and you’ll be taken to a draft of the new contract for your review and signature. You can click on ‘Dismiss’ if you don’t want the change to be reflected in the contract.

  3. If you decide to update the contract, after you sign it, the contractor will receive a notification to review and sign it.
