Administrators can edit the email address for a new contractor before the contractor has set up their Pilot account. This feature is helpful if, for example, you've accidentally entered a typo into a new contractor's email address and need to fix it before they set up their account.

To edit a new contractor's email address:

  1. Go to the People tab and select the name of the contractor to go to their details page.

  2. On the contractor's details page, select 'Edit' in the upper right-hand corner.

  3. Make your preferred edits to the email address field. Please note that, if the Email field is grayed out, then this means the contractor has already set up their Pilot account, and you will not be able to edit this field. They can change their own email address, though, by following the steps in this help article.

  4. Click 'Update' to save your changes. The contractor will receive a new Pilot account invitation at the new email address.
